DAVIS—John Pollard, a visiting scientist from Genesafe Technologies, Ltd., Canada, will speak on “The Evolution of New Reproductive Technologies for the Control of Pathogens in the Honey Bee” on Friday, May 8.
His lecture, reviewing work accomplished over the past three springs, will take place from 3:30 to 5 p.m. in the Harry H. Laidlaw Jr. Honey Bee Research Facility, UC Davis campus.
Hosting the seminar will be bee breeder-geneticist Susan Cobey, manager of the Laidlaw facility.
