Employee Health Services has developed a set of materials to standardize information provided to faculty, staff, and students in both research and clinical settings regarding the proper procedures to be followed by individuals who are bitten by animals. These materials have been reviewed and approved by the Campus Veterinarian, Environmental Health & Safety, and Cowell Student Health Center. Animal bites are a leading cause of workplace injuries on the UC Davis campus and in the interest of employee safety and injury prevention all animal handlers should review the following materials:
