Hulcr spoke on "Evolution and Ecology of Fungus-Farming Ambrosia Beetles" on Oct. 1. Anne Nielsen of the UC Davis Department of Nematology, spoke on "Population Ecology and Damage Estimates of the Invasive Brown Marmorated Stink Bug" on Oct. 8 and answered questions following her seminar. Host was Ed Lewis of the Departments of Nematology and Entomology.

Urs Wyss of the Institute of Phytopathology, Kiel University, Kiel Germany, discussed "Biological Control of Greenhouse Pests with Natural Arthopod Enemies" on Oct. 15. He narrated a 44-minute film presentation and then answered questions. Michael Parrella (left), associate dean of the Division of Agricultural Sciences, College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, hosted the Oct. 15 seminar. Speaker Greg Crutsinger (left) of the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, University of Tennessee, chats with professors Rick Karban and Sharon Lawler following his talk on Oct. 22 on "Linking Plant Genetic Variation to Foliage- and Litter-Based Arthropod Communities." Karban hosted the session.
