UC Davis Entomology and Nematology Department Share Spotlight at ACE Conference

The Department of Entomology and Nematology (ENT) shared some of the spotlight at the recent conference of the international Association for Communication Excellence (ACE), a professional organization that supports and showcases science communication in agriculture, natural resources, and life and human sciences.

Molecular geneticist-physiologist Joanna Chiu, professor and chair of the UC Davis Department of Entomology and Nematology, won the Distinction in Mentoring Award from the Pacific Branch, Entomological Society of America and shared the good news with her lab. Molecular geneticist- physicist Joanna Chiu, professor and chair of the UC Davis Department of Entomology and Nematology, took home one of the highest academic awards presented at the recent meeting of the Pacific Branch, Entomological Society of America, held in the city of Waikoloa Beach, Hawaii. 

Her award: the Distinction in Student Mentoring Award.
