January 2025 ENT Alum Spotlight: Abram Estrada

Hi, my name is Abram Estrada! Since I was a kid, I knew I wanted to study insects. It wasn't
until I started my major coursework as an ENT major that I really understood what it meant to be
an entomologist and where my passion could lead me. I took so many awesome ENT classes

January 2025 ENT Student of the Month: Felix Duley

My name is Felix Duley, and I am so honored to be a nominee for entomology student of the month! Any time not spent studying I spend creating art, hanging out with my family and friends, or exploring nature.   I have been lucky enough to be a student at UC Davis since the fall quarter of 2022, and this spring I will finish up my undergraduate journey with my bachelor’s in entomology.

Barbie Craze Sweeps Briggs Hall at UC Davis Picnic Day

The Barbie craze, in the form of a rosy pink moth on a hot pink T-shirt, swept Briggs Hall, home of the UC Davis Department of Entomology and Nematology, during the campuswide 110th annual UC Davis Picnic Day

Most of the entomology students wore pink “Bugbie” shirts--illustrated with a rosy maple moth,  Dryocampa rubicunda--as they staffed the "bug" activities.

Briggs Hall got pinked.
